About the event
Tick Prevention Webinar - Cultivating reliable outdoor safety awareness Â
Before  I got Lyme disease I was not particularly aware or afraid of ticks. Â
Ten years later, I learned many valuable lessons that I want to share with you, so you don't need to repeat my mistakes. I highly encourage you to empower yourself with this know-how. Â Â
Spring is coming and ticks are starting to get active. A great time to refresh your safety awareness, especially if you take children out into nature. Â
If you enjoy strolling into parks, fields and forests and want to make sure you keep the risk of exposing yourself to tick bites and Lyme disease as low as possible, this webinar is for you. Â Â
We meet on  Wednesday 29th via Zoom, from 7 to 8:30 pm (UK), with Q&A time for you to get answers to your questions. This call will also be recorded and sent out to all ticket holders who can't join live.  Â
This topic is close to my heart because I had Lyme disease in 2013 and spent two months in my bed, not knowing if I would recover or not. This was one of the hardest times in my life! Â Â
Ten years later, I have fully recovered, live in a yurt in the woods and work in woodlands as a  land-worker. I also go out into nature for creative inspiration and spiritual connection.  Â
I have also done a lot of research and gathered valuable know-how, to make sure I can continue spending the majority of my time in Nature, whilst managing the risk of being bitten by ticks. Â Â
I am often exposed to ticks but much less at risk, because of the tried and tested awareness skills I have built. Â I Â used to have 20 to 50 tick bites each Summer, but now I get the occasional one or none at all. The last time I got bitten was when I was caught off guard camping at a festival. Â Â
I feel passionate about passing on this crucial information and awareness skills, to make sure you can be connecting with nature whilst keeping yourself safe. Â Â
During a visually beautifully designed presentation, you will learn: Â
1 - When and where ticks are likely to be present.Â
2 - How to protect yourself from being bitten.Â
3 - What to do if you find a tick on you or get bitten. Â
4 - How to recognise the early symptoms of Lyme disease. Â
My goal is, that at the end of this webinar, you can be aware of ticks, Â without being afraid of them, because you have the knowledge and resources to deal with them skillfully. Â Â
I'm looking forward to hosting this event for you. Â Â
Many good wishes from the woods,Â
 Yannick
